Since You Can't Manipulate Time, Try These 13 Time-Saving Tips

As an entrepreneur you have no limits or restrictions. There is nothing that you can’t achieve. Well, except for freezing time.
Time is the most valuable commodity to an entrepreneur. Most of us would do anything to have another hour in the day. But until someone creates an app to manipulate time, we are forced to manage our time extremely efficiently. Here are 13 tips to help make your days more productive.
1. Schedule “You” time. Set aside a block of time to get your personal stuff out of the way. Things such as paying bills and attending to personal emails can take away from your work.
2. Disconnect when you need 100 percent focus. Preparing for an important meeting or a pitch? Turn off your mobile phone, close your email and route your office calls to voicemail. You will be more productive without the distractions.

The Aha Moments – How Entrepreneurs Realized What To Do In Life

Before any entrepreneur became successful there was a time they did not know what to do. And then the aha moment happened. How?

About 2200 years ago Archimedes stepped into his bath and exclaimed, “Eureka!”
It means “I found it.” At that moment Archimedes found a solution to a problem he had been pondering for a long time.
It was a moment of sudden discovery. The eureka effect. A moment of deep insight. It’s an epiphany which translates as “striking appearance.” In that moment a previously unsolvable problem becomes suddenly clear and obvious.

Before The Aha Moment

Life can be divided into two periods. Before you know why you are alive and after. In between there is just a single moment – the Aha! moment. One brainwave that turns a person into a person on a mission.
Here we show the moments that turned famous people onto their missions. Even though for them it was a process to get to that moment, there was a catalyst that one day made them say, “Aha!”

Is this Italy's Mark Zuckerberg?

Matteo Achilli, Founder and Ceo Egomnia - Bocconi University

"Sometimes I forget I'm 22 years old," says business studies student Matteo Achilli.

It is hardly surprising given that this September, as well as taking exams in law, technology and finance, he will also be taking his online recruitment company global.

He will be tying up partnerships with Google and Microsoft, and servicing blue chip clients such as Vodafone, Bulgari, Generali and Ericsson.

Not bad really, considering he came up with the idea for his company, Egomnia, just three years ago in his final year of high school.

Are You Sharing Your Location On Facebook Without Knowing?

Have you been giving your stalkers your address inadvertently? Take a look and find out.
Even if you think you’ve got all your privacy settings properly in place on Facebook, you may be surprised to find a big privacy breach in the form of your Facebook Places map. What’s even scarier is that if you’re using your smartphone to upload photos you might accidentally be giving all of your Facebook friends the exact location of your house, your office and where your kids go to school. It might be worth checking this out.
Facebook Map Are You Sharing Your Location On Facebook Without Knowing? [Weekly Facebook Tips]

What’s On Your Facebook Map?

Your Places map has all sorts of information on it, including photos with a tagged location, any updates you or your friends tagged you in with a tagged location, plus the location of anything Facebook knows about you. For instance, on my map you can see a little academic cap marking where I got my degree. It’s quite scary how much information people could piece together with all these locations put together on a map.

Which headphones are right for you?

Headphones are big business right now. We all want them, we all need them and our awareness and desire for high-quality audio has gone through the roof. You want us to justify these bold claims? Sure.

Fact – we all walk around with music-players in our pockets whether we think about our mobile phones like that or not. Fact  – the choice to stream whatever songs we like direct to our ears is just £10 per month away. Fact – since illegal music downloads have drifted out of fashion, file format and quality are the main differentiators on the agenda. So, add the facts together and you get lots of people interested in good sound and probably the most important link in the portable chain is what headphones you’re using. So, which are the right headphones for you?

The answer, naturally, depends on who you are and what you like but, even then, the task in hand choosing a pair might not be all that straightforward. There are all sorts of different types out there with each one promising its own set of advantages. As ever, MSN Tech is here to untangle this unruly mass of jargon and geek speak into something nice and condensed that you don’t need a degree in physics to understand.

In-ear heaphones are the tiniest of them all. Quite literally, they are the ones that go right inside your aural canals. They're the ones that come free with your phone but you can also end up spending upwards of £200 if you want a pair of the very best. A bad set of in-ear headphones probably offers the worst listening experience of all. They can be incredibly tinny and a poor fit can cause them to fall out over and over again.

Pros
You can pick them up for very little and they're portable in the extreme. Wrap them up, stuff them in your pocket and away you go. They're not going to mess up your hair, make your glasses feel uncomfortable or get in the way at all. You don't need a bag to carry them around and they hardly weigh anything at all.

As far as listening goes, technology has come on such that they can offer a very decent audio experience. A good fitting pair will also provide an effective seal between your ears and the outside world and that makes for good isolation of sound and, therefore, fewer disruptions from external noise.

Cons
Sound likes space and there's not an awful lot available inside these tiny little things. So, generally speaking, you'll get better performance out of an on- or over-ear pair at the same price point.

'Hypercharger' Juices Your Phone Twice as Fast as a Regular Battery

Battery life: It's the wall our gadgets are always running up against. Today's smartphones and tablets can do wonderful things, but staying connected and running apps consumes power, which is why portable batteries and charging cases are increasingly popular.

There's a trade-off with batteries, though: You can either have something big and bulky that charges your device fast, or something small that takes hours to finish juicing your gadget.

Enter the LithiumCard, which recently completed a successful run on Indiegogo. The battery, which is about the same size as three credit cards stacked on top of each other, is a so-called "hypercharger," pumping out electrons as fast as a biggie battery.

We got our hands on a prototype LithiumCard, and put it to the test. First, we pitted it against a Mophie Powerstation XL, which is a hypercharger in its own right, albeit one you can't just slip into a wallet. Then we put the LithiumCard in the ring with a regular ol' rechargeable battery, the Nokia DC-19.

The LithiumCard delivered. While it didn't work miracles (like that nanotech battery prototype that supposedly charges a phone in 30 seconds), it left everyday batteries in the dust, racing neck-and-neck with the Mophie in speed-charging an iPhone 5S.

Since LithiumCard creator LinearFlux received about five times what it was asking for in its crowdfunding effort, we expect hyperchargers to make their ways into wallets and handbags in the coming months. Unless, of course, the company has also discovered an accelerant for bringing promising products to market.

10 College Dropouts More Successful Than You

College isn't for everyone. But that doesn't mean you can't be a genius without it.

Though graduates are proven more likely to be hired than someone without higher education, many of the technology companies we rely so heavily upon were started by dropouts.

With the increasingly high cost of a college education, and a job market that appears anything but reassuring, there are plenty of reasons for young entrepreneurs to replace the expensive textbooks and cinder-block dorms for a business of their own.

Of course, starting your own company doesn't come without its own heavy costs. Though we certainly don't discourage students from pursuing any form of education, it's hard to imagine a life without Microsoft, Apple, Facebook or Tumblr.

Not to mention a lot of those dropouts are filthy rich now.

1. David Karp, Tumblr
David Karp is best known for founding Tumblr. At the young age of 15, Karp dropped out of high school and began homeschooling. He never did get his diploma, but remains the CEO of Tumblr, which was acquired by Yahoo for $1.1 billion.

2. Ben Kaufman, Mophie
By his senior year of high school, Ben Kaufman had invented what started as an iPod charging accessory, called Mophie. The product won Best of Show at MacWorld 2006 -- the same year in which Kaufman briefly attended Champlain College, where he lists his activities as "not going to class."
He dropped out, and Mophie was acquired in 2007. Two years later, Kaufman went on to launch Quirky, a platform that allows inventors to submit their ideas. The inventions are critiqued and, if chosen, will be designed and manufactured by the Quirky team.

Facebook Acquires Oculus VR

Oculus VR® was founded by Palmer Luckey, self-described virtual reality enthusiast and hardware geek. The company launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund development of their first product, the Oculus Rift, a ground-breaking virtual reality headset for immersive gaming.
With the support of top video game companies including Valve, Epic Games and Unity, the Kickstarter was an enormous success, raising over $2.4 million in funding from project backers and supporters around the world.

The news on ground is that Facebook is buying Oculus VR, a startup that makes virtual reality headsets, in a $2 billion deal.
Oculus doesn't make a consumer product yet, but its headset called the Oculus Rift for video game developers has completely changed the way many feel about video games.

The device is nearly impossible to describe. It makes you feel like you're truly immersed in a virtual environment. It's one of those things you have to try to fully understand. And we guarantee it'll blow your mind.

Console gaming companies have sensed the threat of Oculus, which is why Sony announced a similar headset for its new PlayStation 4 gaming console. However, it's unclear when Sony's headset will launch.

The question now is: why would Facebook buy a video game hardware company?

According to a statement from CEO Mark Zuckerberg, the company plans to expand Oculus beyond gaming:

After games, we're going to make Oculus a platform for many other experiences. Imagine enjoying a court side seat at a game, studying in a classroom of students and teachers all over the world or consulting with a doctor face-to-face -- just by putting on goggles in your home.

Mark Zuckerberg also made this announcement on his Facebook page, click the link below to read...

Ithaka by C.P. Cavafy

As you set out for Ithaka
hope the voyage is a long one,
full of adventure, full of discovery.
Laistrygonians and Cyclops,
angry Poseidon—don’t be afraid of them:
you’ll never find things like that on your way
as long as you keep your thoughts raised high,
as long as a rare excitement
stirs your spirit and your body.
Laistrygonians and Cyclops,
wild Poseidon—you won’t encounter them
unless you bring them along inside your soul,
unless your soul sets them up in front of you.

Hope the voyage is a long one.
May there be many a summer morning when,
with what pleasure, what joy,
you come into harbors seen for the first time;
may you stop at Phoenician trading stations
to buy fine things,
mother of pearl and coral, amber and ebony,
sensual perfume of every kind—
as many sensual perfumes as you can;
and may you visit many Egyptian cities
to gather stores of knowledge from their scholars.

Keep Ithaka always in your mind.
Arriving there is what you are destined for.
But do not hurry the journey at all.
Better if it lasts for years,
so you are old by the time you reach the island,
wealthy with all you have gained on the way,
not expecting Ithaka to make you rich.

Ithaka gave you the marvelous journey.
Without her you would not have set out.
She has nothing left to give you now.

And if you find her poor, Ithaka won’t have fooled you.
Wise as you will have become, so full of experience,
you will have understood by then what these Ithakas mean.

My "CONNECTED" Experience...

I can't remember where I heard this "If you can't start a cause then join (or support one)" but this was the first thought that crossed my mind during the November Edition of ‘CONNECTED’ tagged: Walking on Water (WOW), there it was announced that the December Edition was going to be more of Social Responbility where we'll get the opportunity to reach out to any of these two communities; either Dustbin estate in Ajegunle or Makoko community.

CONNECTED is Christian Entertainment and Social Networking group comprising young Christian professionals organizing monthly editions of events/Hangouts at various fun locations. I became 'connected to CONNECTED' when a friend invited to a morning work-out at the National Stadium, apparently that was the October Sports Edition and the activities on that day were Jogging, Aerobics, Tennis and skating and at the end I started looking forward to the next edition which was in a boat cruise to a resort and a zoo in Ikorodu.
Being part of 'Connected' has really helped me relate with some really interesting personalities, explore some other interesting ways of having fun and also build a larger network of friends from almost every work of life imaginable and at the moment I am looking forward to January's edition.

I just hope January edition would not be declared a Meditation edition, anyways as long as it 'Connected' then it is always an experience.

Establishing and Keeping Alpha Position Letting your dog know you are the boss (Top Dog)

Below is a list of rules every dog owner should follow to ensure your dog knows his place in your human pack. If your dog guards his food or growls at humans in the family, and especially if you own a wolf hybrid, these rules should be strictly followed. Dogs need to have a clear place in their pack. A dog lacking in this clear order is an unhappy dog.
Sometimes a dog might not be showing signs of aggression, however the dog is suddenly showing signs of separation anxiety, such as destructive behaviors when you leave the house. A dog that steals food from human hands has no respect for the human, and therefore does not see the human as pack leader. A dog that questions his place in the household pack can sometimes cause him to suddenly display destructive behaviors, as the dog is confused and taking his anxiety out on your house.
A dog that knows his place in his human pack is a happy dog. A dog that does not is a confused dog and can exhibit many unwanted behaviors because of it.

1. The number one way to communicate to a dog that you are his pack leader is to take him for a walk. Not the type of walk most humans take their dogs on but a pack walk, where the dog is made to heel beside or behind the human who is holding the lead. This is most important for all dogs, as in a dog's mind, the leader always leads the way. A dog must not be allowed to sniff or eliminate anywhere he wishes, but where you allow him. One marking against a tree is enough for male dogs. The dog should be concentrating on following the human, not worrying about leading the way. This pack-type walk should be done daily. Not only will this release built-up energy, but it will satisfy the dog's instinct to migrate which all dogs possess. Dogs that have excess energy bottled up inside them and that do not have their migration instinct met will develop various instability issues that most people mistake for being breed traits.

2. All humans must eat before the dogs, as the leader always eats first.  When you give your dog its food eat a small snack first while he is watching, lay the snack near the dog’s food so that he thinks you are eating out of his bowl (the leader always eats first).

3. No table scraps should be fed to the dogs during a meal.

4. Feedings must be at a scheduled time. (No self-feeding dog food dispensers should be used, as this allows the dog to choose when he eats.)

Showing Appreciation

East America (Atlanta, New Jersey, .... etc) are experiencing a terrible evolving hurricane #HurricaneSandy even as I type this, as in right now. The unfortunate part is whenever you eventually come across this post, the Hurricane might still be on and then you go around saying God has done nothing for you.

Remember  "The Mathew Effect" (...unto him that has not, even That Which He HAS Shall Be Taken Away From Him". This means you actually HAD in the first instance but have either undermined or failed to acknowledge that which you have.
No matter what you are passing through, find something (no matter how little) to be thankful for (even if its for being able to read this post).
You mean so much to me.

Evangelist Benny Hinn reunites with Wife.

RECONCILIATION AND RESTORATION CONTINUES

It all began at Christmas when we were together at Suzanne's house in Orlando, Florida. Suzanne and I and all of our children and grandchildren were there. It was a beautiful day I will never forget, and that is when the Lord began to do His mighty work.
Suzanne and I want to thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for praying for us and our family. The Lord has surely answered your prayers! Suzanne and I are more in love with each other than ever before.
The covenant we made with God more than 30 years ago was never broken in His sight. Both of us believe our greatest days are ahead and the best is yet to come.
The last three years have been very painful for Suzanne and me and for the children—more painful than we can ever explain or describe. Suzanne and I will share much more with you in a future letter and soon on This Is Your Day. Please be watching next Thursday and Friday, June 7–8.
Our marriage died for two reasons.

No survivors after plane with 153 aboard crashes in Nigerian neighborhood

None of the 153 people on board a Nigerian airplane survived its crash Sunday into a residential neighborhood in the West African nation's most populated city, a top emergency management official said.
Mohammed Sani Sidi, director general of Nigeria's National Emergency Management Agency, described the scene as "devastation."
While other structures were affected, the building hit most directly by the airliner was "totally destroyed," Sidi said.
He added that it is "very difficult" to assess how many people on the ground were killed or injured, and no such figures have been released.

Dbanj tweets on rumours of his death

I just wonder who starts all these weird rumours about people dying and stuff, may be you will know how it feels by the time they do the same to you. Well just like Bola Tinubu said when the rumour of his death was on, "... such things actually make people live longer ...".

Levi Ajuonuma was on Board the Crashed Dana airplane

Former NTA Sunday show host and Group General Manager,Corporate Affairs of Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, Levi Ajuonuma was also on the Dana Airplane which crashed into a building at the Iju-Ishaga environs of Lagos. Unfortunately, information from an official of the Nigerian Emergency Management Agency reveals that so far there are no survivors of the crash.
May God comfort the affected families.

Late Chief Awolowo's wife is NOT dead.

Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo's wife  Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo (née Adelana) popularly known as HID was earlier today rumored as being dead but this was confirmed as a hoax by Dele Momodu on his twitter page during the late hours of Sunday as being false.

I just keep asking myself, where exactly do these lies come from, who starts them?
